Taking time for you.

It is important to ensure that whilst you possess the desire, and the spirit to go out and conquer the world, that you do not neglect your own needs to pretty much just take it easy. Sometimes, we may grow so blind sighted by our own ambitions, and our desires for success that we forget that we cannot win the marathon while we have exhausted our legs! It is imperative that we do not take on more than we can handle, or restrict ourselves from the deserved rest, introspection, and fine tuning that we require. If you have been desperate to prove yourself, both to yourself, and others, it is easy to get caught up in the notion that you have to over-perform. But there is no need for over performance. What burns fast, and burns bright, burns out. Learn very much to pace yourself, to learn how much on your plate is just enough, and not to incorporate too much time in doing, rather than being. If your work or creative schedule requires you to dedicate vast hours to intense concentration, and study, make sure you take the time when you can to just relax, have a listen to the thoughts in your mind, and collect some data about how exactly you are feeling. It is easy to lose emotional intelligence whilst we have no knowledge of our emotions whatsoever. This effects entirely every aspect of our lives, whether consciously, or unconsciously, we allow our emotions to shape our experiences. If you are feeling frustration, but are unaware that you are frustrated, you may be acting out in other ways that articulate your frustration, etc snapping at close friends and family, feeling weepy when waking in the mornings, and finding a pessimistic approach to every life occurrence.
